Bollards are erected to prevent illegal parking or to provide a safety measure, where appropriate.
Resident's who wish to have a laneway closed off permanently must first request that the right of way over the laneway be extinguished. Once an extingushment has taken place the public no longer have a right of way over the laneway.
Any vehicle which travels in South Dublin County Council’s administrative area which weighs more than 3 Ton is considered a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV).
